Maintenance Assistant

MON VALLEY CARE CENTER, located in Monongahela, PA, is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Position Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures and as directed by your supervisor. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that a successful and viable maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and driveways

- Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance services

- Assure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident/patient comfort and convenience

- Replace ballasts, burned-out light bulbs, and call bell lights

- Report all incidents/accidents to your supervisor immediately

- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as requested

- Assure that work assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored

- Follow established policies and procedures concerning infection control when working in isolation rooms

- Attend required in-service education, training, and staff meetings

- Track equipment usage

Physical Demands:

- Sitting, standing, bending, and lifting

- Subject to frequent interruptions

- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours

- Required to be on-call for emergency conditions/situations

Pre-employment Requirements:

- Must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check

- Must successfully pass a physical/drug screen

- Must be in compliance with all recommended Covid-19 vaccines

Requirements:

- 1 year of maintenance experience

- Driver's License
