Activities Assistant

Highlands At Wyomissing is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and coordination of recreational programs and events for our residents. With a focus on promoting engagement and enhancing the quality of life for our residents, you will create and facilitate a variety of activities that cater to their interests and abilities.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing various recreational programs and events

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation

- Coordinate and lead group activities, such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and social outings

- Provide one-on-one interaction and support to residents with special needs or limited mobility

- Assist in setting up activity spaces, preparing materials, and cleaning up after activities

- Maintain accurate records of attendance and participation for reporting purposes

- Collaborate with the Activities Director and other team members to continuously improve the activity program

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a similar role or working with seniors is preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Creativity and a passion for developing engaging and meaningful activities for seniors

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including evenings and weekends
