What you will do

This intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment and to support/promote the graduate's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group by working on important and innovative projects. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group.

Responsibilities / Main Tasks / Targets

• We are seeking a student who is interested in working within the Volvo Group Services & Solutions team with a focus on the enablement of Service Products for the Volvo and Mack Truck brands. The intern will be responsible for aiding in the launch of Service Product programs including change management, marketing, and in the creation of sales and service enablement tools. Main tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Understand overall Volvo Group strategy and model core values into daily work

• Support daily planning and product/program execution activities

• Provide support to the Services & Solutions Product Managers, Program Managers, Pricing Team, and other internal stakeholders, as needed

• Contribute to the development of dealer/user training programs and assist with ad-hoc training to dealers and internal stakeholders on the importance of Service Products

• Support the commercialization of Mack & Volvo Service Products and global system rollout

• Create/update published documentation and process updates for Service Products and Protection Plans

• Aid Regional Connected Services Managers in tools & processes to support the sales of Service Products

• Own assigned Product Management projects to completion or hand-off

• Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Applicants must have an engineering, analytics, or similar technical bachelor degree at an accredited school, and must be pursuing a graduate degree (MBA or similar degree preferred) at an accredited school, and have completed 30 semester hours of that graduate degree prior to the start of the intern program. Minimum GPA of 2.75.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
