Position for enthusiastic veterinary assistant or registered veterinary
technician with a passion for emergency and critical care. Successful
candidates will provide clinical assistance to professional staff and a
variety of treatments to patients admitted to the Veterinary Teaching
Hospital (VTH). Candidates will have the opportunity to actively
participate in one-on-one training of veterinary students, as well as
work alongside veterinary specialists to provide clients and patients
with the highest standard of care. Preference for applicants that have
an associate degree in veterinary technology (or equivalent) and
licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible for RVT
license in Oklahoma.\
This is a full-time position with varying shifts and hours. Shift
differentials are available for non-traditional shifts. Every full-time

The VTH is a 145,000 square foot, full-service veterinary teaching
hospital providing 24-hour care for all domestic and selected exotic and
wildlife species. The VTH admits more than 15,500 clinical cases per
year and hospitalizes 5-8 ICU cases per day. Our Critical Care Unit is a
state-of-the-art facility and is staffed with capable, competent
technicians. Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, MRI, CT,
ultrasound, endoscopy, 24-hour access to full clinical pathology lab,
oxygen cages, pulse oximetry, capnography, I-Stat point-of-care testing,
telemetry, blood pressure and central venous pressure monitoring,
Pleur-Evac suction units, and ventilator therapy. Successful candidates
will have the opportunity to interact with small animal specialists, as
well as a supportive group of interns and residents. If you are
