About the Role
As a
Tool Design Engineer II
, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aviation. With minimal supervision, you'll design, tolerance, and annotate cutting-edge tooling in a 3D CAD environment, supporting the manufacture of industry-leading aircraft. If you thrive on collaboration and have a passion for innovation, this is your opportunity to work closely with engineers, manufacturing teams, and operations experts to determine the best manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Tool Design
: Independently design, tolerance, and annotate tooling using Catia V5 or Solid Works in a 3D CAD environment.
Collaboration
: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to optimize manufacturing procedures.
Concept Presentation
: Present design concepts to cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and safety representatives.
Tool Reviews
: Review and check designs to ensure they meet specifications, intent, and methods.
Procedure Writing
: Develop detailed procedures for tool usage.

What We’re Looking For
Education
: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience
: 18+ months of drafting/design experience in a tool shop or machine shop environment.
Skills
:
Tool Design expertise using
Catia V5 or Solid Works
.
Strong
CAD/CATIA modeling skills
and understanding of
GD&T
.
Knowledge of materials, strengths, and heat treatment methods.
Ability to conceptualize tools for assembly, composites, machines, handling equipment, and scaffolding.
Bonus Points
Experience in
Tool Design
is highly preferred.

Pay Details:
$60.42 per hour
