The Office of Veteran Licensure Services (OVLS) is devoted to providing superior service in supporting the healthcare career success of Florida’s military veterans and their families. As a Government Analyst in the Office of Veteran Licensure Services, you will assist members of the United States Armed Forces, the United States Reserve Forces, the National Guard, veterans, and the spouses of veterans who seek to become a licensed health care practitioner in this state. You will work closely with other board offices within the Division to ensure veterans and their families receive the guidance, direction, and assistance with the licensure process they deserve.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly professional position located in the Office of Veteran Licensure Services within the Bureau of Healthcare Practitioner Regulation. The incumbent is responsible for providing information, guidance, direction, and assistance with the licensure process for active-duty military members, military veterans, and the spouses of military veterans. The incumbent will serve as an expert in military application pathways and work one on one with applicants to expeditiously processes applications for all regulated health care professions. The incumbent will maintain a professional relationship with Veterans Florida and refer individuals requesting assistance with resume writing and finding information about educational or employment opportunities in health care professions to that organization.
The incumbent will collect, analyze, and report on data related to military applicants and licensees.
This position requires independent thinking, detailed analysis, and use of professional judgment. The Incumbent will confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
This position is required to work emergency duty, in preparation for, during, and as a result of, a catastrophic or natural disaster.
