Position: Business Office Manager

Status: Fulltime/Exempt

Reports to: Administrator

Required Exp: 3 - 5 years



Cheltenham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a place where we strive to give the best care to our residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, and serve our residents with compassion, nurture, respect, and care.



Purpose:

The candidate for this position will develop, implement, and maintain systems to operate our facility's business office in the most effective and efficient manner. They must comply with federal, state, and city requirements.



Responsibilities include:

  • Daily supervision of the Accounts Payable and Business Office assistant
  • Assure maintenance of accurate resident census daily and distribute
  • Complete weekly census report and email to corporate at payroll
  • Responsible for the input of all cash and month-end input of lab, radiology, and ambulance charges
  • Print private invoices and distribute appropriately
  • Review of the aging report on a bi-weekly basis and the resulting collection efforts reported to Corporate Accountant
  • Submit attorney referrals and write-off requests to Corporate Accountant to be approved and entered into PCC
  • Responsible to begin and complete Medicaid Pending applications through approval and appeal if necessary
  • Coordinate with Admission Director and ensure accuracy of new admissions and payers in PCC
  • Scan all new signed admission agreements and PASRR's into PCC
  • Other duties as assigned


Necessary skills:

The successful candidate must have knowledge of Medicaid & Medicare regulations and previous experience in a nursing home setting with supervisory skills. They should possess excellent organizational abilities, communication skills, and aggressive collection practices.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year

8-hour shift, Monday to Friday

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
