The Vivint Inside Sales organization is growing rapidly and along with it our operational logistics. This sales team is the best around, converting a diverse lead base into new subscribers; currently at over 400 sales professionals strong. The NIS Commission Analyst will have the opportunity to directly influence the accountability and performance of this skilled team. In this role you’ll manage key communications between sales leadership, payroll, legal, and the sales professionals themselves. Customer experience is a critical ingredient of the formula that has driven success at Vivint. As manager you’ll ensure our customers continue praising our team by monitoring key compliance metrics and verifying that pros are correctly and ethically commissioned.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of analysts, providing direction, training, and career development opportunities.
Commission Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage commission structures that align with company goals and motivate the sales team effectively.
Compliance Management: Ensure all compensation practices are in compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Data Integrity & Reporting: Oversee the accurate calculation of commissions and preparation of payroll files, ensuring data integrity and timely payouts.
Analysis & Optimization: Use advanced Excel, SQL, and Tableau skills to analyze commissions data, identify trends, and recommend optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, sales, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency of compensation plans.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve complex commission-related issues and disputes, ensuring fair and transparent outcomes.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve commission processes, tools, and reporting methods to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) are preferred.
Experience:
Leadership: 5+ years of experience in a sales compensation, finance, or related role, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position.
Technical Expertise:
Excel: Advanced proficiency (e.g., complex formulas, macros, data modeling).
SQL: Strong ability to write and optimize queries for data analysis.
Tableau: Proficient in designing and interpreting complex dashboards and visualizations.
Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of compensation regulations and best practices.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about compensation design and its impact on business outcomes.
Change Management: Experience leading change initiatives and driving process improvements.

Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Consulting, Analytics, Data Engineering / ETL, Compliance, Commissions, Payroll
Prior experience paying or calculating commissions
Understanding of compliance concepts and audits
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely – both in writing and verbally

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
