Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Lockwood Furnace Company is a leading HVAC company that has been serving Joliet Illinois and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all types of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for our customers. This position requires knowledge and experience with HVAC equipment, as well as strong problem solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties
• Troubleshoot problems with HVAC systems and determine the best course of action for repairs
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met and their questions are answered
• Document all work performed, including parts used and time spent, for accurate billing and record keeping
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all service calls are completed efficiently and effectively
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school
• EPA 608 certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment, including air conditioning, heating systems, electricity, and plumbing
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
