Financial Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

Knowledge of accounts receivable billing and cash application. General Ledger functions, including journal entries; audit review; accounting analysis and reporting. Support Management, Sr. Cost Analyst and Sr. Assistant Financial. Oversees closing procedures, account reconciliations, and G/L activity & analysis. Must use good judgment to prioritize work and balance routine and project-related job tasks.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, research, correct and execute electronic and manual billing and/or cash applications. Collaborate with team and business partners as needed. Properly test billing transactions and new clients. Meet operational, month-end and other deadlines and goals. Support tenant reporting and billing.

• Troubleshoot billing and reporting variances. Support with special projects. Review contracts as required. Train new team members and maintain SOP’s.

• Assist with departmental metrics.

• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION:

• High school degree or GED is required.

• Technical school is preferred.

• Associate degree (AA) is preferred in Finance/Accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Finance/Accounting.

  EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience in finance, auditing Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred; or combination of education and experience.
