Housekeeper

Kings Daughters Medical Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and adherence to high standards of cleanliness will directly contribute to the overall patient experience at our medical center.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning.
• Ensure all rooms and common areas are kept tidy and free of clutter.
• Disinfect surfaces and equipment in patient rooms, waiting areas, and restrooms.
• Stock and maintain supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of medical waste.
• Respond to requests from staff to clean or sanitize areas.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow infection control policies and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial role preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
