Job Summary

Elk Haven Nursing Home is currently seeking a Housekeeping Aide to join our team. The Housekeeping Aide will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents and staff. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Aide, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine cleaning tasks, such as mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and common areas
• Emptying trash and replacing liners
• Stocking and organizing housekeeping supplies
• Assisting with laundry services, including washing, folding, and distributing linens
• Adhering to all safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and supplies
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy
