About this role The Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics. Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. You will have the opportunity to travel across the globe, exploring different sites, markets and working with people from several nationalities. This is a permanent position, and you will be given a motivating hands-on role, working in a diverse, international and cross-disciplinary environment. What you will do In this role you will develop, enhance, and improve electrical components for control of powertrain components. You will work in a growing and dynamic technology area with high visibility within the company. You will be responsible for: Creating technical requirements for electrical components hardware and software to deliver the necessary functionality. Conducting detailed design reviews with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure correct component functionality and system integration. Conducting quality assurance reviews including FMEAs and risk assessments. Leading and managing suppliers to ensure components are delivered on time with the required features, cost, and quality. Acting as the technical owner for your components and leading cross-functional interactions within the company, both locally and globally. Leading root cause analysis and quality improvement activities related to power components by identifying root cause and corrective actions required. Work closely with control system developers and global verification community to create software test plans, validate operation of Control System software and hardware on HIL, process and analyze test data, and create test reports. Minimum Requirements: B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems or similar. Master’s degree is preferable. To have graduated no more than 2 years ago and with a maximum of 2 years working experience prior to, or after graduation. For this position, the base salary range is set at $70,800.00 - $87,400.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
