Job Description: HVAC Service Technician at Mack's Heating & Air
Mack's Heating & Air is currently seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Columbia, Mississippi. As the HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure their maximum efficiency and functionality.
As an HVAC Service Technician, you must possess excellent technical skills, a passion for solving problems and providing exceptional customer service. You will be the face of our company when interacting with customers, which means you must be friendly, personable and approachable. With the ability to work independently, you will also have excellent communication skills and a professional attitude to work with other team members.
Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and system tune-ups on all HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, air conditioning units, and furnaces.
• Respond to emergency calls and deliver prompt customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Install new HVAC systems, ductwork and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain current knowledge of new products and repair techniques.
• May perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree or certification in HVAC technology is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in various types of conditions including extreme cold or hot temperatures, heights and crawl spaces.
