Job Description
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fitness Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fitness programs for our residents, with a focus on promoting overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute individualized fitness programs based on residents' abilities and goals.
- Conduct fitness assessments and provide recommendations for improving physical fitness.
- Lead group fitness classes tailored to the needs and interests of residents.
- Provide guidance and motivation to residents during fitness activities.
- Ensure a safe and clean fitness environment for all residents.
- Stay up to date with current fitness trends and research to continuously enhance programs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to address residents' specific health concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and program participation.
- Assist with planning and organizing community-wide wellness events and workshops.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
- Certification as a fitness instructor or personal trainer.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and delivering fitness programs.
- Knowledge of senior fitness and age-related health concerns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to adapt programs to meet the diverse needs and abilities of residents.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
