Elaine Center at Hadley is a leading provider of healthcare services offering short-term to long-term care options and a wide variety of living options and professional clinical services. We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Recreation Director to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients/residents.

Position Highlights:

• Report directly to the Nursing Home Administrator
• Plan individual and group programs based on patient/residents' needs, preferences, and treatment goals
• Supervise and train recreation staff and volunteers
• Maintain required documentation and participate in budget planning
• Develop positive relationships with patients/residents' families and the community
• Utilize community resources to enhance recreation programs

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, expressive arts therapy, or occupational therapy preferred
2. Certification from regulatory agencies governing the assigned area, such as the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (ADC) or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS) or state-specific credentials
3. Five years of full-time experience in recreation services for elders
4. Approval by current supervisor and Regional Vice-President of Operations, and National Director of Recreation and Guest Services (if currently an employee of Genesis Healthcare)
5. Knowledge and experience in providing recreation to individuals within special care units
6. Superior clinical knowledge of recreation services, leadership abilities, and support for Genesis Recreation Services policies, procedures, best practices, and federal/state regulations
