Summary This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2055000 and is part of the 164th ADA BDE, National Guard. Responsibilities As a Human Resources Assistant, GS-0203-07, you will plan, organize, and administer the military personnel program for the organization; serve as the technical expert on a variety of administrative matters (e.g. format for directives and standing operating procedures, general office procedures, filing systems, reference libraries, etc.); provide authoritative advice and guidance to the commander and his staff pertaining to military personnel administration; keep abreast and ensures the implementation of new policy statements, regulations and directives issued by higher headquarters concerning personnel and administrative activities; develop guidelines and operational procedures to implement changes to policies and programs directed by higher headquarters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLARNG BUS Code NG5022: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation. Military Grades: Enlisted: E1 thru E6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level or the equivalent to at least the next lower grade level which has provided a working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs. Experience, training or education in human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs; planning, organizing, and administering the military personnel program. Experience with personnel actions. Education If you are using Education to qualify for this position you must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
