Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days/Afternoons (United States of America) Location: West Ashley Cancer Center | 2085 Henry Tecklenberg Dr, West Ashley Tricom | 2910 Tricom Street, North Charleston Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Job Summary : Coordinates the overall daily operations which may include: Patient flow, facility management, registration, collections, scheduling, purchasing, accounts payable and electronic medical record functions. In conjunction with the practice manager supervises duties of office workflow and environment on a daily basis and responsible for coordinating the day to day functions of the practice and operations to ensure an efficient, professional and productive environment for employees and patients. Minimum Qualifications : Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Courses in medical terminology and health care office management preferred. Experience: At least 1 year administrative experience. Work experience must include at least one year of medical office experience. Licensure/Certification: None Primary Source Verification (if applicable): N/A Knowledge/Skills: Ability to operate various office equipment including computers, calculators, photocopiers, telephones, fax machines and any other necessary office machines. Knowledge of business office procedures. Ability to communicate and work with practice manager and physicians. Contacts : Patients, physicians, site staff and other hospital staff. Work Demands/Environment : Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, stretching. Frequently requires long periods of working at a computer. Intermittent walking, standing. May require lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, for typing, reading material, performing various office tasks and entering and interpreting figures. Minimal risk of exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Normal office environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend. Travel may be required.
