Job Description

Join our Therapeutic Recreation team as a Recreation Therapy Assistant! Become an active part of our life enrichment team by planning fun and innovative activities to ensure our residents are living a "Life Lived Forward"!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the Therapeutic Recreation programs as directed by the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor.
• Plan, organize, and implement regularly scheduled day and evening programs, seven days a week and holidays.
• Organize and coordinate special outings and accompany residents on outings such as lunch outings, sightseeing rides, or picnics to make residents aware of available recreational resources per supervisor request.
• Create activities that creatively meet individuals' activity desires.
• Gather and return residents for all programming during shift.
• Complete initial assessment on residents upon admission.
• Attend weekly meetings, providing input on resident status.
• Plan for upcoming weekly programs.
• Visit residents on a regular one-to-one basis.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of work experience.
• 1 year of long-term care experience.

Hours:

As Needed (PRN)

Schedule:

9:00am-5:00pm as needed, every other weekend and holiday as needed

Starting rate:

$14/hr
