CREATIVE ART THERAPIST, LICENSED

Rutland Nursing Home is seeking a talented and compassionate Creative Art Therapist to join our team. As a licensed Creative Art Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents through the use of art therapy techniques.

Role Requirements:

• Hold a valid license as a Creative Art Therapist
• Strong understanding of various art modalities and their therapeutic benefits
• Ability to develop and implement art therapy treatment plans tailored to individual resident needs
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with elderly populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct art therapy sessions with residents, both in groups and individually
• Assess resident needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Facilitate creative expression and emotional healing through art-based activities
• Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and resident progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure holistic approach to resident well-being
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on resident care plans

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Art Therapy or a related field
• Current licensure as a Creative Art Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in art therapy
• Proficient in using art materials and various art mediums
• Knowledge of therapeutic approaches, including person-centered and trauma-informed care
