Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Shelby Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a reliable and professional HVAC Service Technician to join our expanding team in Shelby, North Carolina. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our clients by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including replacing filters, cleaning coils, and checking refrigerant levels
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions, such as faulty thermostats, leaky ductwork, and broken motors
- Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, vents, and electrical wiring
- Communicate with clients to explain our services and provide them with recommendations for improvements or upgrades to their systems
- Educate clients on how to properly use and maintain their HVAC systems to prevent future problems
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and parts used
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while on the job
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of HVAC service experience
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
