Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
G.W. Jones Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration is a growing company in Wauconda, Illinois and we are in search of an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Service Technician at G.W. Jones Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our residential and commercial clients.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
- Communicate effectively with clients to answer questions and provide recommendations on HVAC systems
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with HVAC systems
- Participate in on-call, emergency services as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure client satisfaction
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- HVAC Certification is required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
