Responsibilities You will investigate, analyze, and resolve technical difficulties on new and established systems using established and non-established data on newer systems. You will provide technical guidance, complete a full range of preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned systems, and verify complex systems' operational capabilities. You will collaborate with other system electronics technicians to offer technical expertise. You will assist in planning and installing future Naval Air Station Modernization Systems directly related to your area of expertise. You will diagnose equipment malfunction through use of system analysis, test equipment, and schematics. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Work as a technician, instructor, inspector, or mechanic (civilian or military) that demonstrates knowledge of electronic theory and a variety of types of electronic equipment. 2. Use of schematic diagrams, a variety of test equipment, and the application of appropriate electronic formulas involved in such duties as testing, troubleshooting, modifying, designing, calibrating, installing, maintaining, repairing, constructing, developing, and instructing on electronic equipment, or similar functions. 3. Experience in developing policies, standards, and procedures for maintenance, installation, or similar functions, provided the work clearly shows that the applicant applied a specialized knowledge of the theories and principles of a variety of electronic systems or equipment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
