Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Maintain equipment in an uncompromising state of readiness, adhering to all GMP, safety, and professional quality standards. Inspect, maintain, repair, rebuild, and modify any equipment, facility, or facility ancillary equipment as directed. Repair parts causing breakdowns in machinery, troubleshoot recurring breakdowns, and recommend procedural changes. Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic skills to determine root causes of problems. Instruct equipment operators to prevent machine or system damage and perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in sound working condition. Assist with facility repairs and maintenance as needed. Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed utilizing maintenance management software. Support machine setups and changeovers as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times, following Good Manufacturing Practices. Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience and be able to troubleshoot, repair, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic systems. An in-house aptitude test is required.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
Fast-paced food production environment. Clean and deadline-intensive. Employees will wear street clothing with provided uniforms, hair nets, and beard covers. No buttons on shirts. The maintenance team consists of 12 members, including management, mechanics, and machine cleaners. Shifts available: 1st (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), 2nd (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm), 3rd (11:00 pm – 7:30 am). Need 1 on the 3rd shift. Flexible pay rate with a cap of $23.00 - $25.00 to start for qualified candidates.
