Job Description

As a Registered Dietician at Providence Place At Glencroft, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health and wellness of our residents. You will be responsible for assessing nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, and providing education and counseling on proper nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for residents and develop individualized care plans based on their specific needs and preferences.
• Create and implement personalized meal plans that align with dietary restrictions, medical conditions, and personal preferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for residents.
• Provide individual and group education sessions on proper nutrition, including guidance on portion control, healthy eating habits, and the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
• Monitor and evaluate residents' progress, adjusting meal plans as needed to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the field of nutrition and incorporate evidence-based practices into care plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Valid and current registration as a Dietician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Dietician, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, geriatric nutrition, and the nutritional needs and challenges faced by older adults.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively educate and motivate residents and staff.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
