Contract overview
This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.
The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:
Market price: $3,300 USDEst.
Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 6 months
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and attractive meals. They assist with meal production as directed. The Cook is responsible for Maintaining and applying all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies. They assist with daily dishwashing and equipment maintenance. The Cook is responsible for operating the point of sale system. The coordinate and implement Sales promotions. They assist in the coordination of events and activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Physically able to work and lift heavy boxes.
Must have Skyward experience.
Must have experience with use of various commercial kitchen equipment.
Must have excellent attendance and be punctual.
Must be versatile with good organizational skills.
Must have excellent cash handling skills.
Must have ability to establish good relationships with children and other school employees.
Essential Functions
Fill in if necessary at any kitchen within the district.
Perform duties as assigned by home kitchen manager. Home kitchen is Muir Middle School.
Must have successfully complete SERVSAFE Certification class.
Run Skyward register if needed during breakfast and lunch (lunch counts, processing student through the line quickly, making payments, fixing errors, running reports, etc).
Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen following sanitation practices as regulated by OCHD.
Work cooperatively with kitchen staff to run an efficient lunch program.
Follow proper cash procedures.
Place milk order with Milk Company if filling in at an elementary school.
Put stock away.
Do Dishes.
Mandatory end of the year clean up and close down of kitchen.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None. Assist in the training and support of substitute employees.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Successful completion of ServSafe Certification Training (highly recommended)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma and/or related experience.
LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONIING SKILLS
Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
