Housekeeper - Grey Stone Health & Rehabilitation Center

Grey Stone Health & Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department to ensure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Follow work/cleaning schedules closely
• Report all accidents/incidents to supervisor
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures, etc.
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting
• Dispose of waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles
• Protect resident's protected health information and promptly report any violations
• Follow safety precautions and proper techniques when handling chemicals and infectious materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others and handle residents at different maturity levels

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Capability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and a distance of 50 feet
