Central Supply Clerk (Long Term Care)

Description

Full-Time. Immediate Opening. The primary purpose of your job position is to provide supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, Company guidelines and regulations, DME guidelines and as may be directed by management, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Inventory tracking logs to track equipment within the facility, i.e., pumps, poles, concentrators, nebulizers, mattress, etc.

Maintain preventative maintenance and repair logs for each piece of equipment.

Fill requisitions from departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained.

Maintain par levels of supplies and equipment required.

Organize storage, issue and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment.

Ensure that vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets (MSDSs) in accordance with current OSHA regulations and the facility's policies and procedures. Report problem areas to the Director of Nurses.

Maintain knowledge of CMS Supplier Standards. Maintain infection control procedures for both clean and dirty equipment and monitor clean and dirty equipment areas for cross contamination.

Others duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed by the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.

Requirements

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.

Must have as a minimum, two (2) years experience in LTC setting.

Must be familiar with medical terminology.

Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines.
