Job Summary
Avalon Care Center - Federal Way is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. As the DON, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our facility and ensuring the delivery of exceptional nursing care to our residents.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Nursing, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the provision of high-quality care to residents
- Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of nursing staff
- Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
- Managing the budget for the nursing department
- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the position of Director of Nursing should possess the following qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Washington
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Proven track record in providing quality nursing care
