Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking aGME (Graduate Medical Education) Coordinator II. Under the direction of the Program Directors, the GME Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of every stage of the Neurology Resident, Medical Student, Rotator, Observership, and Fellowship Programs. The GME Coordinator II role will also provide support to another department or service line as needed.

Role Overview:
Answer questions, review applications, and coordinate interviews for prospective fellowship candidates
Onboard new full-time trainees, by coordinating the submission of their appointment paperwork, orientation, housing, MSKCC systems access
Communicate with the MSKCC GME office to facilitate the appointment of incoming trainees
Coordinate with numerous external institutions to appoint and onboard rotating house staff
Liaise with the appropriate internal departments/ groups to ensure proper transparency in GME programs
Handle event planning logistics, arrange interviews, and manage expenses e.g., graduation, dinners, receptions, lectures, etc.
Manage related education program expenses (including conference travel)
Coordinate accreditation processes by collating documents, submitting timely information, monitoring overall progress and compliance
Manage a database of paperwork/documentation to deliver information to program leadership and develop action items
Be responsible for ensuring the compliance of the department’s training programs with the ACGME and the GME Office at MSKCC
Prepare materials for and assist with site visits; serve as a contact and representative of MSKCC
Serve as a partner to the program directors on program improvements to help the department remain competitive by recruiting the best talent
May perform a variety of clerical functions to support the department as a whole
Key Qualifications:
1-2 years GME experience preferred
Familiarity with hospital/health care environment and/or graduate education
Experience in event planning and/or educational onboarding is strongly preferred
Digital Literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email/Calendars; ability to use social media
Core Skills:
Organized and able to multitask, experienced in administrative tasks such as leading projects, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, organizing information, and maintaining confidentiality
Proactive in your approach and eager to accept new opportunities with high energy, and enthusiasm
Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences
Eager to collaborate and work in a team environment
Additional Information:
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, flexibility is required for events that occasionally run earlier or later. Hybrid schedule after 6 months in the role.
Location: MSK Main Campus, 1275 York Avenue
Pay Range: $27.80 - $43.08/hour
