The Chemung County Health Center - Nursing Facility is a 120-bed residential long-term care facility located in Elmira, NY. We are currently seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Registered Nurses.
Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and caring individuals who thrive in a challenging team environment. As a Registered Nurse at the Chemung County Health Center, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents every day. No two days will be the same, and there are plenty of rewarding reasons to want to show up to work.
As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will assume the role of a charge nurse and support nursing care standards by adhering to existing policies and procedures. You will administer medication and treatments, using care plans as a basis for providing safe and therapeutic care to our patients. Effective communication with patients, their families, and the health care team will be essential to the successful completion of your tasks.
In addition to clinical care, you will supervise nonprofessional personnel and monitor their completion of daily documentation. You will evaluate and note the patient's response to nursing care, report and investigate resident complaints and accidents/incidents to the nurse manager, and stay updated on professional growth opportunities through reading and attending educational programs and unit conferences.
Qualifications
- Acute clinical experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse by the NYS Education Department, or the ability to transfer licensure to New York State
- CPR or BLS certification

$28.02 - $30.18 per hour
COVID-19 Considerations
We take the health and safety of our employees seriously. Nursing Home Workers will receive screening questions and temperature checks upon arrival, COVID-19 testing two times per week, and adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks, gloves, gowns, face shields, and/or goggles.
