Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Nursing Home

Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center, your main responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalized care to our residents in a nursing home setting.

Responsibilities

As an LPN, you will:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance when necessary
• Support and educate residents and their families on healthcare needs and concerns

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A current and valid LPN license in the state of Georgia
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
• Empathy and compassion towards the elderly and individuals with physical or cognitive impairments
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work day, evening, and night shifts as needed
