Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Intermountain Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Helena, Montana. As one of the leading HVAC companies in the area, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality services to our residential and commercial customers.
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment for our customers. You will interact directly with customers, so excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to customer service are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Inspect and test HVAC systems to verify compliance with safety and performance standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding job status, customer concerns, and recommendations for repairs or replacement
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of service calls and work performed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and methods
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and repair systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- EPA certification preferred but not required
