Job Description

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Full-Time Dishwasher who will be responsible for performing a variety of physical work involved in the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes, and maintaining food preparation areas in a clean and sanitary manner.

Schedule

• Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (12:30pm – 9:00pm) & Sunday (7:00am – 3:30pm)
• Rate of Pay: $20/hour PLUS shift differentials ($0.40-$1.10)
• $1300 SIGN ON BONUS
• Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed (meals included)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepares soiled dishes, silverware, and similar items for automated cleaning equipment
• Operates automated cleaning equipment; adds cleaning solvents or agents and adjusts settings as required
• Washes and scrubs items as required, including pots and pans
• Disposes of trash; cleans own work area and any other portions of the kitchen as required
• Follows established schedules for special cleaning or pest control
• Stores and cleans china, glasses, and other dinnerware and equipment

Knowledge/Skills & Qualifications

• Patience and understanding of seniors
• Skill to follow basic written and verbal instructions
• Physical skills to perform work that requires continual standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs
• Previous experience in the kitchen of a commercial or institutional food service facility desirable

Requirements
Required to maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to staff and residents. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services, including TB testing and fingerprint clearances required by California DSS/CCL. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing sufficient to perform the tasks required.
