Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $800 USDEst.

Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 12 months

Job Description: Cook- 11:30 am- 8:00 pm

Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for residents of the Southern Utah Veterans Home. The Cook will work closely with the Dietary Manager to ensure that all meals are prepared according to the menu and dietary requirements of the residents.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to the menu and dietary requirements of the residents
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
Assist with menu planning and ordering of food and supplies
Ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time
Monitor food temperatures and maintain food safety standards
Assist with special events and catering as needed
Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions:

The Cook will work in a commercial kitchen environment and will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, sharp objects, and potentially hazardous chemicals. The Cook may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
