About the Position

The Recreation Management Specialist role at Utah Parks & Recreation involves responsibility for all aspects of recreation management on the unit, which includes developed and dispersed recreation, wilderness, wild/scenic rivers, trails, special uses, and related programs on the Intermountain Region, Region 4 unit. This position is open and continuous, with applications expiring every 90 days.

Qualifications:

  • Your resume must clearly document the beginning and ending dates, hours worked per week, position title, and a description of duties for each block of work experience, including permanent, temporary, or seasonal appointments, and volunteer work.
  • Incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting work history may not be credited for qualification purposes.
  • Specialized experience requirements for different levels (GS-09, GS-11, GS-12) are outlined with specific examples, including participation in surveys and studies of wilderness and other specially designated areas, engaging partners and volunteers, processing and administering special use permits, evaluating programs, and projecting costs for programs.
  • Education qualification is not required for this position.
