Company Alaska Airlines The Team Interns at Alaska and Horizon join teams throughout different departments such as Maintenance and Engineering, Marketing and so on. Interns work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Beyond hands-on experience, interns also get the opportunity to network with employees and company leaders. What’s more, our interns can fly standby travel on Alaska Airlines during their internship. That means many weekends are filled with jet setting across the country. Key Duties Analyze and interpret data that affects operational performance including baggage, safety, compliance, timeline metrics, and on time performance Root cause analysis to identify trends impacting station operations Assist with the execution of operational plans supporting station goals and company objectives Work with multiple stakeholders to implement improvement processes Support station leadership in employee engagement objectives Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Professional Aviation, or related field. Critical thinking to analyze trends and compile innovative solutions Ability to successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup and with other internal departments and teams. High regard for safety Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Starting Rate USD $25.00/Hr.
