Licensed Nurse (Resident Health) - Job Description
Brookhaven At Lexington is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Nurse to join our Resident Health team. As a vital part of our community, the Licensed Nurse will play a crucial role in providing direct nursing care to our residents and ensuring their overall health and wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor residents' vital signs and conduct routine health assessments
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Assist in managing and documenting residents' medical records
- Provide guidance and support to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance as needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of practice
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license
- Prior experience in long-term care or a similar setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Compassion and empathy for older adults
