Baking Assistant Requisition ID: 2024-8421 of Openings: 2 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Other Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Part-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: Auxiliary Enterprises Department: Dining Services Advertised Salary: $11.00 per hour Overview Baking Assistant at USU helps our Bakers prepare bread, cookies, donuts, cakes, pastries and other baked goods to be served in all Dining Services locations across campus including University Catering. USU Dining is seeking people that will Create an Excellent College Experience and provide quality service to all customers. We are searching for candidates that will go the extra mile to be a strong, dedicated employee and will continually grow and adapt to a fast work environment. Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm Whats in it for you: FREE Meals $11.00 per hour starting wage Great Work Environment and Social Atmosphere Regular Opportunities for Pay Increase Excellent Employee Recognition Program Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: Running large industrial mixers to make batter, dough, frosting, etc. Baking Measuring, weighing, and portioning precisely Cake Decorating Stocking and Filling ingredient Bins (includes lifting 50lb bags of flour, sugar, etc.) Keeping work area clean and orderly Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: This is an entry level position but will need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Advertised Salary $11.00 per hour ADA Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects.  Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
