Overview
Baking Assistant at USU helps our Bakers prepare bread, cookies, donuts, cakes, pastries and other baked goods to be served in all Dining Services locations across campus including University Catering.
USU Dining is seeking people that will Create an Excellent College Experience and provide quality service to all customers. We are searching for candidates that will go the extra mile to be a strong, dedicated employee and will continually grow and adapt to a fast work environment.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-3pm

Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Running large industrial mixers to make batter, dough, frosting, etc.
Baking
Measuring, weighing, and portioning precisely
Cake Decorating
Stocking and Filling ingredient Bins (includes lifting 50lb bags of flour, sugar, etc.)
Keeping work area clean and orderly
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
This is an entry level position but will need to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Food handlers permit is required within the first 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of baking
Previous food handling experience

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
