Job Description

We are seeking compassionate individuals who want to begin a rewarding career journey as a Resident Assistant (RA) at Lutheran Homes & Health Services Inc. As an RA, you will provide support and care to residents in our assisted living facility, long term care, and nursing home settings. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, medication reminders, meal assistance, and companionship.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Support residents with mobility needs and assist with transfers, as needed.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and serving, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
• Engage in meaningful conversations and activities with residents to promote socialization and companionship.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
• Follow all established policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in caregiving is preferred.
• Ability to work in a healthcare setting and provide compassionate care to older adults.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work day, evening, and night shifts as required.
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Fond Du Lac, WI 54935.
