Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - TCU

Welcome to Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge II in West St. Paul, where we offer senior living with services to 127 customers, a 37-bed transitional care and rehabilitation center, 24 memory care apartments, and 10 care suites.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for our TCU department. The Health Unit Coordinator will prioritize, organize, coordinate, and perform non-nursing clerical and administrative tasks for the TCU. This role involves facilitating the admissions process by managing clerical and administrative tasks for new admissions, including transcription of orders. The Health Unit Coordinator will also act as a customer service liaison for the new TCU patients.

Schedule: Full-time with every other weekend and Holiday rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a HUC education program or prior experience as a HUC
At least two years in an acute care or Transitional Care setting preferred
Extensive experience with order transcription
Previous experience working with an Electronic Health Record preferred
