Job Description

Vale Healthcare Center, located in San Pablo, CA, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. As the ADON, you will play a crucial role in providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to our residents and patients.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting in ensuring nursing staff provides quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
• Assisting with recruiting, hiring, providing orientation/training, and retaining qualified staff.
• Scheduling and performing rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
• Maintaining administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for proper charting and documentation of care and medications.
• Assisting in developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule.
• Completing required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and regulations.
• Adhering to scope of practice limitations based on qualifications.
• Occasionally performing patient care duties.
• Delegating duties and responsibilities of the Director of Nursing in their absence.

Entry Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing (preferred).
• Proficiency in the use of a personal computer.

Salary

The salary for the Assistant Director of Nursing-ADON position in San Pablo, CA ranges from $105,221 to $123,881.
