Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $600 USDEst.

Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 9 months

Culinesse, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to join our team at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community in Quarryville, PA. As an Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to lead by example and showcase your expertise in high volume catering services.



Responsibilities:

As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. Your general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assuring proper sanitation practices are followed by cleaning and sanitizing work stations and equipment. Attending trainings on sanitation and allergies as needed.
  • Coordinating with related food and beverage departments to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
  • Controlling food costs by maintaining accurate records of all food ingredients used.
  • Creating new menus and ensuring their proper implementation.
  • Supervising other cooks, providing instruction and guidance.
  • Directly supervising the day-to-day operation of all kitchen functions.
  • Ensuring preparation, plating, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Orienting employees to the department and providing training on job responsibilities.
  • Prioritizing and assigning work, as well as conducting performance reviews.
  • Identifying and implementing procedural or production changes as needed.
  • May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station, providing the highest quality of service at all times.
  • Preparing foods using a variety of kitchen equipment, measuring and mixing ingredients, and ensuring accurate planning of production requirements and requisition of supplies and equipment.
  • Reporting all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Producing small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating, and garnishing techniques.
  • Selecting recipes per menu cycle, preparing bakery items, and catering to customers with special dietary requirements.
  • Demonstrating advanced knife skills.
  • Using production software to enter pre- and post-production data, as well as managing inventory.
  • Performing any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
