Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Housekeeping / Laundry - Part Time to join our team at SKLD Ionia. In this role, you will play a critical role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services to all residents in the facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining environmental and infection control standards by performing a variety of general cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residents' rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas inside and outside the facility
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and mopping in assigned areas
• Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment
• Clean vents, fan fixtures, high windows, doorframes, and other elevated areas
• Perform deep cleaning procedures in residents' rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants
• Dust surfaces, fill soap and paper towel dispensers, and collect and transport trash
• Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices
• Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the supervisor
• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and room transfers
• Train new staff as needed
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, and peers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in a housekeeping role preferred
• Detail-oriented and thorough
• Ability to respect residents' privacy and maintain discretion
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
