Job Description

We are currently seeking Custodial Worker 1 positions in our Custodial Department. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for routine manual work in public institutional buildings and surrounding grounds. Your duties will include using custodial supplies and modern cleaning equipment, as well as moving and lifting heavy furniture. Work is performed in accordance with a well-established routine and is subject to inspection to maintain cleanliness standards.

Position Details

Work Schedule: Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week with rotating days and weekends. Three shifts are available:

• 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:00 pm)
• 2nd shift (12:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
• 3rd shift (9:00 pm to 5:00 am)

All shifts include a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: No previous experience or training required.

Preferred Qualifications: Work experience as a custodian, janitor, or cleaning person in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or hospital is preferred.

Additional Requirements

A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
