Description
During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2023-4 academic
year the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of Cinema &
Media Studies may have part-time teaching opportunities either in the
Art-Music-Drama General Education (College Core) courses, or in the
undergraduate curriculum for majors and minors in Cinema & Media
Studies, including courses in film production.

Responsibilities will include preparing lecture- and/or workshop-style
classes, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the design and
preparation of assignments and other assessment materials, and all
grading.
For academic courses in cinema and film studies, the minimum
qualifications are a MA/MFA or PhD in cinema/film studies or a related
field and at least one year of experience teaching cinema/film studies
at the university or post-secondary level. For courses in film
production, minimum qualifications are a Bachelor\'s degree and
significant professional experience in relevant aspects of film
production, as well as at least one year of experience in teaching
related courses at a university level.
Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful
candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In
2023-24, the minimum per-course salary is \$7,538. This position is not
benefits eligible.
