Reliability & Maintainability Engineer

Description: · Primary responsibility is to estimate system reliability and identify, prioritize, and eliminate potential system design failures through Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) · Formulate reliability analyses and predictions using Relyence software. Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-217 and Nonelectronic Parts Reliability Data Publications (NPRD) · Plan and execute Reliability Growth Testing, Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) · Understand and measure fault detection and fault isolation through testability assessments · Formulate Maintainability analysis and predictions. Familiarity with MILHDBK 470 and MIL-HDBK-472 · Collect, analyze and score Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components. · Will spend majority of time working in a team environment and interfacing directly with Integrated Product Teams Skills: reliability engineering, maintainability engineer, CATIA, 3DX, Failure Mode, Effects, & Criticality Analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI), Corrective Action Plans (CAP), Cameo, No Magic, MagicDraw Additional Skills & Qualifications: · Reliability analyses (de-rating/stress analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, reliability predictions) as applicable · Familiarity and/or experience with reliability test plans, R&M program plans, Statements of Work (SOW) and product specification preparation. · Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships · Effective analytical problem-solving skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy, be able to learn and work with software tools · Experience in conducting engineering investigations with suppliers and customers and participation in Reliability Review scoring boards · Proficient in the review of flight logs, quality records, manufacturing records and engineering drawings including use of CAD software, preferably CATIA. · Basic understanding of Statistics and the implementation of statistical models. · Experience using Cameo/ No Magic/ MagicDraw · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings · Working knowledge in a related discipline (Avionics, Propulsion, Hydraulics, etc.). · Developing & interpreting Reliability requirements / flow-down requirements · Experience performing Failure Mode, Effects, & Criticality Analysis (FMECA)) · Familiar with military specifications/standards · Applicable experience formulating reliability analyses and predictions (including development of failure rate estimates based on handbook techniques and historical data) preferably using Relyence software · Knowledge of procedures involved with collecting, analyzing, and scoring of Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data. · Recent experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components. · Knowledge of rotary aircraft systems/sub-systems.
