Job Description: RN - Memory Care Unit
Greencroft Healthcare, a leading provider of senior living and healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Memory Care Unit team in Goshen, Indiana. As an RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized care and support to our residents living with memory impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for residents based on their unique needs and preferences, ensuring a person-centered approach.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitor and evaluate residents’ physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide assistance, guidance, and education to families and caregivers, empowering them to actively participate in the care of their loved ones.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, promoting a sense of security and reassurance for residents and their families.
- Document and maintain accurate records of residents’ care, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Act as an advocate for residents' rights, dignity, and autonomy, upholding ethical nursing practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in a similar care setting.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, and related conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to remain calm and adapt to challenging situations while providing quality care and ensuring resident safety.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals living with memory impairments.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in memory care.
