Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) - Aperion Care Tolleston Park
Aperion Care Tolleston Park is currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team. As a QMA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents by administering medications accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications accurately and safely following the facility's policies and procedures
- Perform medication-related treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and detailed medication administration records
- Ensure medications are stored properly and securely
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Promote a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a state-approved QMA training program
- Valid QMA certification in the state of Indiana
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents and their families
- Strong ability to facilitate a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
