ABCM Corporation - Grandview Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Transportation Assistant/Driver to join our team in Oelwein, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for our residents and tenants, as well as delivering confidential information and communications between the care center and community providers. You will also represent and promote the care center in a positive manner throughout the community.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide safe and timely transportation of residents and tenants to specified locations
  • Assist individuals with physical disabilities/wheelchairs safely in and out of the vehicle
  • Receive and deliver confidential information/communications between the care center and community providers
  • Represent and promote the care center in a positive manner throughout the community and with other healthcare practitioners

Qualifications:


  • Must have a current, valid Iowa driver's license of the appropriate classification and with the required endorsements (passenger) for the vehicle to be driven (Class D/Chauffeur's License or Class C/Commercial License)
  • Must pass a motor vehicle record check
  • Must have and maintain an unrestricted license and driving record free of serious violations
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
  • Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Additional Information:


Shift: Day or Evening Shift, Flex Scheduling; approx. twenty (20) hours/wk
Base Wage: $16.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years
